Looking great Ross. Who bent up the tube for your headboard. Prefer welding steel myself.

Tray is almost back in 1 piece with a total length of 2,500mm. Turned out to be a bigger pain in the rear then what i thought. Now just to bend up some new tie down piping and start adding tank mountings and such

Cheers bud, at this stage it's going to be hardwood. It's depending on price tho, if not I'll be putting alloy chequer plate in

Well after a weekend on the piss with a few mates it turns out im now supposed to be heading to frazer island again for 2 weeks in March  I was either going to go back there this year or cross the simpson on motorbikes but the desicion got made after a carton of rum  The plan is to leave the monday after CMC rocks the hunter, punch up in 1 day jump on the island the next then go from there. Probly wont be spending 2 weeks on there maybe aweek and the rest around qld. Then be home in time for tuff trucks maybe. I beleive there will be me and about 4 other trucks including a sky blue trayback single cab 80 series :o Sitting on 5" lift and 35s with full engineering certificate. Looks mint saw it for the first time on the weekend, the sydney boys might have seen it getting around lately.

Now just somehow have to figure out what i actually wanna finish on my ute before i go. I wont have time to put draws in the canopy. I think for the time being im just gonna finish the tray off (should be done within a month) install the actuators in the canopy and weld in the bed platform. Purchase the legs and finish the seals off. Can anyone see a priority im missing? Hopefully it will be a good trip

Is your spare going under your new tray?
Make sure you reinforce that bed platform to accommodate those big heffers you seem to be attracted to at the B&S Balls ;)

Unfortunatly not, the way the tray is designed means it will sit another 150mm higher then the tray i already have on if i were to jam the spare under :(

  I don't think ill be going to B&S for a while. All to far away this time of the year. Tho last night must have been cougurs night out at Shoal bay country cub  Glade i wasn't drunk as a skunk. BTW i have new standards, if i can't wrap my arms around them and monkey grip my hands together then no good for me

Well ordered my tail lights this week so I can get the mounting brackets sorted. Also picked the water tank up from the benders so its ready to weld up. Finally found an 1" pipe bending die so I can now replace the tie down rails. Once I do all that off to be blasted and paintedImage

Fabed up the tail light brackets just gotta put a backing plate on them. Bent up the new tie down rails. Cut the tail light crewmembers off and moved them forward. Also put the main centre in for the head board.Image

Thought i better pull my finger out and get this rig ready for the simo trip which seams to be fast approching  Welded up my water tank plus a mates, just gotta weld in the fittings. Wired up the volt meter for both batteries on a on/off/on switch to a Baintech volt meter. Fabbed up some high lift jack mounts to use with some rhino mounts that will pick up some bolts in the towbar assembly. Tray is all but finished and ready to be blasted and powder coated this week 8-) so next weekend id say will be laying the timbers and wiring in lights and mounting the air tank. Will post up some photos tomorrow after comeing back from fishing 8-)
