That doesn't look like much fun!

I changed my gearbox and diff oils today and even though I torque all the plugs to spec I always feel like it is a bit tight. Makes me wonder if Toyota calculated the torques dry and didn't account for the oil. It makes a big difference.

Personally they are one of my biggest hates about toyota. Had alot of drama with them when servicing and maintaining station bull catchers.

What is the actual torque spec?

37Nm for the gearbox and transfer. 49Nm for the diffs. Filler and drain plugs are the same setting for each.

Engine sump plug is 38Nm and oil filter cap is 25Nm.

Had abit of a cash splurge this week after i seen a great little idea at Ag Quip last month. Not long ago I brought a sheet of 2mm aluminum and started to make a kitchen setup for the canopy. When I seen the slide out camp kitchen setup by Top end camp gear I was quiet impressed and reasonable disappointed in my efforts [emoji38] Everthing is so tidy, snug fit, dust proof, sturdy and made locally in Cardiff NSW. After a few calls to Jim to work out price and dimensions he had one ready to go within a week. Super impressed with the idea and quality of the build
