Front transfer seal

I had my front transfer case seal replaced on warranty after 60000 km. The pain is it has to be done at Toyota dealership, which is 300km away! So have to drive 300km there and wait for them to change the seal then drive home again. Pain!

Might be worth your drive. Ive had a quick glance at mine and it looks like a split the case job as I couldnt see a retaining nut. Ed also has to do his to he is the test piolet

Unlucky bout no toyotas around I reckon I could find 15 dealer ships in that distance

I replaced mine a few months ago, have to split the transfer case, wasn't to bad tho, Toyota wanted 48$ for the seal! Got same size at bearing shop for 4$

oh side note...

according to toyodiy.. the part numbers on the transfer assembly from a 1vd cruiser is the same as the fzj 90-98 model petrol cruiser, according to toyodiy who gets them from toyota.
