Front transfer seal

I had my front transfer case seal replaced on warranty after 60000 km. The pain is it has to be done at Toyota dealership, which is 300km away! So have to drive 300km there and wait for them to change the seal then drive home again. Pain!

Might be worth your drive. Ive had a quick glance at mine and it looks like a split the case job as I couldnt see a retaining nut. Ed also has to do his to he is the test piolet
Unlucky bout no toyotas around I reckon I could find 15 dealer ships in that distance

I replaced mine a few months ago, have to split the transfer case, wasn't to bad tho, Toyota wanted 48$ for the seal! Got same size at bearing shop for 4$

i got the procedure off the manual, will load a bunch of pics up. But will also try to upload a PDF document and i need people to tell me if it works so i can save heaps of time

oh side note...
according to toyodiy.. the part numbers on the transfer assembly from a 1vd cruiser is the same as the fzj 90-98 model petrol cruiser, according to toyodiy who gets them from toyota.

Yerp works for me. Its probly far from failing but probly wont hurt to change the bearing out whilst at it

Woo cheerin cheers fellas. Will make posting things from the workshop manual a lot easier

Yea same donk, I'll be ordering a seal and bearing when I do mine. It's out might as well change it.
