Rear coil conversion

Postby muzza22au on Sun Aug 09, 2015 8:56 pm

Just watched Top of down under and noticed that her 79 series had coils, so after some investigation I found the guys that did it for her. Not sure on price but if I get another 79 I will do this in the future.

Realistically $10k would be a reasonable price for a traditional customer fabricated job (welding etc).
But $10k for a 100% bolt up kit

If they could paint it black instead blue be good. Enna hope them bolts hold up. How good of load it would it hold if had heavy duty coils and bags ?

They do come in black. I think the blue was more to just show the bits. And I was under the impression that it got a gvm upgrade with it.

Ahhh yeh no...... PRE REGO ONLY try $27000.00 now (give or take a few hundred). Thats $27k installed for JMACX not including the 35inch rims and tyres. (quote from TJM Hunter Valley NSW)
Superior Engineering similar price ( quote from Blueflame Automotive their NSW installer)
Marks Adaptor Portals got a price today $28k, for their new complete kit installed (portals, diff housing, brakes, handbrake, SSM), not including 35 inch wheels and tyre. (quote from Marks Adaptors direct)

I explored the option for POST REGO with these kits, add $1K+ to that price for engineering certification post rego.
I asked for parts of these kits only, they all refused to sell.

    I find it quite funny.
